The elimination of unwanted coatings, such as paint and rust, from metallic substrates is a common challenge across several industries. This evaluative study investigates the efficacy of focused laser ablation as a feasible method for addressing this issue, comparing its performance when targeting organic paint films versus iron-based rust layers.
